The Fetish Box, Part One: Open All Night by Nicole Camden
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book took me awhile to get in to and just as I was hooked, it stopped.
Really different storyline, I mean, a virgin inheriting a sex shop and a house from her mother than she hasn't seen or heard from since she was a baby and by inheriting the sex shop, she seems to have inherited her mother's two friends, Max and John, each of whom attract Mary in different ways both both immediately.
This installment is all about setting up the storyline and the scene, will read the next book, even if its just to see what the first book was setting up.
Note - the way Max talks takes some getting used to.

There is No Light in Darkness by Claire Contreras
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was intrigued by the blurb of this book and jumped at the chance to read it. Straight away I loved how strong Blake was. She is plagued by nightmares of her childhood but she doesn't know what they mean. I loved that she has such a strong family network from her foster family and that she has a soul mate in Cole. Cole won me over straight away. His cockiness and sex appeal oozed off the page and his love for Blake was obvious from the moment we met him. This story is very complicated and you do have to concentrate to follow along the tidbits of information that are told throughout the story, in both the present and the past. I'm looking forward to the second book to see if my predictions for the story are correct or not. Great debut novel from the author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
OH MY GOD! Jesse Ward, Lord of the Sex Manor, I bow down to you.
This book was amazing, it exceeded all of my expectations. Ava & Jesse cannot deny how they feel about eachother and knowing that they are ruined for anyone else, they can't help but fight for and with each other.
There are some soon to be famous sex scenes, a Manor Anniversary Party that is as much awkward as it is hot and steamy, and the ever present John always there to watch out for both Ava and Jesse.
Handcuffs, rowing machines, peanut butter and lace are all now my favourite things to remember this book by.
Can't wait for This Man Confessed, the conclusion of Ava and Jesse's story, hoping for answers to all of the unanswered questions and suspicions.

Release Me by J. Kenner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I liked this book. For the first 20% I made the obvious similarities between other popular billionaire books but I think that if this book had been released a year or two ago, it would be rated a lot higher. Looking at this book by itself though, it is well written, with a lot of heat. Not bdsm, but Damien is a fan of control, in and out of the bedroom. Both Nikki and Damien have baggage from their past. We are told about Nikki's but not so much about Damiens. The secondary characters, especially Jamie and Evelyn. Will definitely buy the next book, Claim Me and hope to find out a lot more about Damien to even out the storyline.
Received as an ARC from the publish via Net Galley.

Ghost and Macy are HOT! Wow, ghost is the the epitome of a bad boy persona with a heart of gold. I swear to god that man is sex on a spit. Macy has tried to stick a serious, straight, predictable life since a riding accident years ago. Then when her best friend hooks up with Brian Ross, the mowhawk wearing tattooist from Dermamania, he is horrified. Then she meets Ghost. Then Ghost disappeared to Oklahoma to look after his grandmother and Macy doesn't see or hear from him for the best part of year. Then Valentines Day comes around and Candice and Brian surprise her with Ghost. This book has it all hot sex, body piercings, tattoos, music, miscommunication, heartache and honesty.

Hard to Love by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I loved this book. Cade is guardian to his 6 year old disabled sister and in order to cover her climbing medical bills he takes the opportunity to star in a porn movie. Unable to rise to the occasion, the director gives him some medicinal help, which is why he ends up in the ER after 4 hours of "standing to attention" and this is where he meets shy unassuming nursing student Alexa.
Cade was impossible not to like. He can't help but notice Alexa and her blushes and smiles at his predicament. I loved drunk Alexa because she just blurts out whats on her mind.
Read this in one sitting, its a short novel but well worth the time, you'll end up with a smile on your face and a love of the word cupcake

I loved this novella. It starts off great, no slow lead up. It starts with a decision made, and then deals with the internal battle Kasie has with herself as she fights who she should be vs who she hides behide the mask. Robert is debonair and sexy and you can tell that he is someone who knows what he wants and goes after it. I'll definitely buying the next book Exposed which comes out in March. This book is erotic but its not in your face and the way the scenes are written, you feel like you're there, feeling what she is feeling.

The Proposal by Katie Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This review is brought to you by the words "twatwaffle" and "douchenozzle" (the BEST names Aidan has ever been called!)
Katie Ashley knows how to write a love story. She made us swoon, fall in love then curse and kick our kindles with The Proposition. I was like
at the end.
This book takes us through another myriad of emotions. Emma remains the kind hearted, loving soul she has always been, sticking by Aidan's family despite Aidan tearing her heart to pieces and Aidan has been living a life of hell for the 3 weeks since he dropped his balls and got scared of what he had with Emma. At th Aidan still has his cocky big ego, Emma still has a smart mouth, and Dr Pesh comes along and confuses everyone by being so damn nice. Beau is still the dog of my dreams, Casey is the queen of putdowns and is an assassin with a purse. Patrick is cunning as always and those Fitzgerald nephews are hilarious.
Some parts of the book made me go
Other parts made me go
By the end I was
To me this is one of those EPIC books that you MUST read and MUST recommend to ALL your friends.

Marjorie is a book editor for a small boutique publishing house in Northampton. Her life made up of one night stands and meaningless flings with no commitment most of her life. She spends her nights alone watching movies and eating junk food. That was until her boss asks her to court a bestselling author David J Seaton who is looking for a publishing deal for his new book. David offers her a proposal to allow him to court her in return for her submission to him. This book had heat, anger, lust, new discoveries, love and two damaged people needing to find one another. Really enjoyable book with a great story unlying it. Includes light bdsm, exhibitionism, multiple partners and humiliation.

Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Where to start. We meet Blaire as she turns up at her father's house after losing her mother to cancer and her only home to cover medical bills. With $20 to her name she has no other place to go. She meets her stepbrother Rush and is releived when he says that she can say even thought her father and his mother are away.
The tension that builds in this book is awesome. You can tell straight away that behind Rush's bad behaviour there is something going on there. He can't seem to stay away from Blaire. From living under Rush's stairs, and working at the country club where she has to serve all the wealthy locals, including Rush and his friends, she also has to deal with catty women, walking in on her stepbrother's sexual exploits, and being hit on my her boss's son. But through it all, there is always something about Rush. And to Rush, there has always been something about Blaire.
If you have read Abbi's other books you'll know that she never fails to deliver, and this book is no different. The open ending leaves you waiting for Book 2 which is coming out in March.

When I first started this book I found it hard to comprehend in my mind what was being said and the dialogue between the characters. But as I moved through the book I got used to Mikalo's english and the way he expresses himself and found myself drawn to him. There was a scene towards the end that blew my mind, I'm not sure how I feel about it but it definitely acheived what Mikalo was trying to prove. My recommendation would be to persevere through this book. The greek culture and belief systems are well represented in this book and this book is a welcome change to other similar books in the same genre. Thanks Syndra :)
